About Venus MedTech

Venus Medtech (Hangzhou) Inc. ("Venus Medtech"), is the leader in transcatheter structural heart valvular therapies in China. The company is committed to the development and commercialization of innovative medical devices in the field of structural heart disease.

Venus Medtech is founded in 2009 and headquartered in Hangzhou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Binjiang). In 2014, the New Bioprosthetic Aortic Valve Project gained Venus Medtech a national champion in the biomedicine sector and brought the company to prominence. The impressive progress of the company is marked by four industry-first achievements: the first company to start and complete NMPA-registered clinical studies, the first cardiovascular device approved by the NMPA Green Pathway for Innovative Medical Devices, the first created-in-China heart valve device to conclude First-in-Man clinical use in Europe, and the first company approved to establish a heart valve research institute in China. On December 10th, 2019, the company was successfully listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 2500.HK).

Venus Medtech has established comprehensive solutions for structural heart disease, with a complete product pipeline covering all four heart valves, namely TAVR, TPVR, TMVR and TTVR, as well as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hypertensive renal denervation (RDN) therapy and relevant accessory products.

As of August 2021, Venus Medtech had a total of 507 patents and patents under application, including 209 authorized invention patents. Our global intellectual property portfolio covers China, United States, Europe, Japan, Canada, Russia, India, Brazil and other countries and regions. As an innovative Chinese enterprise, Venus Medtech enjoys a wealth of awards and honors, including the National Science and Technology Support Program Award under the 12th and 13th Five-Year Development Plans granted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the second batch of State-Level Technologically Advanced Little Giant Enterprises, China Outstanding Patent Award, Excellent Domestic Medical Equipment Products, and National High-Tech Enterprise.

Our Team

  • Zeng Min

    Mr. ZENG Min is Chairman and Executive Director of Venus Medtech. Mr. Zeng joined the company as Director in June 2013. He is chiefly responsible for the overall management, business strategy, regulatory approval, and commercial suitability and sustainability of products. Mr. Zeng has more than 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. He received BS in Solid Mechanics from Tsinghua University, China, in July 1986 and MS in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, United States, in August 1994.

  • Eric Zi

    Mr. Eric ZI is Executive Director and General Manager of Venus Medtech. Eric joined the company in November 2012 as Director and General Manager. He is chiefly responsible for the overall management, business strategy, regulatory approval, and commercial suitability and sustainability of products. Eric is a veteran in the medical device space with extensive experience.
